Alice Davis RARE "It's a Small World" Hungary Original Concept Art and Model Sheet Print (Walt Disney, 1963). Featured in this lot is an incredibly rare piece of original concept art by Disney Legend Alice Davis (1929 – 2022) for the "It's a Small World" attraction at the 1964-65 New York World's Fair! Alice was known for her expertise in costume design and fabrics, a skill set that led to her incredible career with Disney. She started working with fellow Disney Legend Mary Blair (1911 - 1978) in 1963 to research and create over 150 detailed costumes for the attraction. This lot features a rough concept of a Hungarian girl in a detailed blouse and skirt, and a print of the later model sheet has been included for reference. This model sheet can be seen on page 222 of Marc Davis In His Own Words Imagineering of the Disney Theme Parks. The full figure graphite design measures approximately 6.75'' x 10.5'' on 8.5'' x 14'' paper with one deckled edge. It has been signed by Mrs. Davis in the lower right. This exceptional lot is in Very Good condition overall with faint edge toning, minor edge and handling wear, and minor smudging. From the Disney Legend Inductees Marc and Alice Davis Archive.
