Alice Davis "It's a Small World" Model Sheet Prints Group of 22 (Walt Disney, 1963). Disney Legend Alice Davis (1929 – 2022) was a skilled artist, costume designer, and seamstress who worked with fellow Disney Legend Mary Blair (1911 – 1978) to create over 300 costumes for the "It's a Small World" attraction at the 1964-65 New York World's Fair. This incredible lot features 22 brown paper prints of Mrs. Davis's original costume designs for Lapland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. Each page includes detailed notes on the different pieces of the costumes, including hats. Also included is a page of notes on reference magazines and books that Alice used for the costumes and a photograph of Alice and one of her concepts with one of the Middle Eastern Dolls. Each character is full figure and printed on paper that ranges from roughly 9.25'' x 12'' to 11'' x 17''. Many include the 1963 WED Enterprises stamp. These spectacular concept prints are a testament to the time and care that this Disney Legend put into each design, ensuring that the costumes were the best they could be.
