Disneyland – Pirates of the Caribbean Hand-Painted "Grotto" Scene Prototype (Walt Disney, 2005). "Dead men tell no tales!" This is a stunning hand-painted miniature scene by Kevin Kidney and Jody Daily based on the "grotto" segment of Disneyland's Pirates of the Caribbean. It is based on the watercolor renderings created in the development of the attraction by Imagineer Marc Davis. Among the first scenes guest encounter in the attraction, the grotto prominently features these two pirate skeletons, one with bird nested upon his hat. This hand-painted resin scene was used by Kevin and Jody in the creation of their rare Pirates of the Caribbean snowglobe, released for the Park's 50th anniversary. This "paint master" would make a perfect desk ornament or addition to the collection of any Disney fan. It measures approximately 3.5" in diameter and 3.5" tall. It is in Very Good condition.
