Disneyland – Haunted Mansion Error "Buddha" Lamp Production Sample (Walt Disney, 2005). This is an extremely rare production sample from the popular Haunted Mansion stretching portrait lamp designed by Kevin Kidney and Jody Daily. The final lamps were produced for the 50th anniversary of Disneyland, and this production sample comes from the personal collection of Kevin Kidney and Jody Daily. Humorously, the artist in China mistook the design of the woman's hair to imply that Kevin and Jody wanted the character to be a Buddha. As such, the figure was sculpted with a much more rounded face and "Buddha" like hair. The figure was later corrected to more closely resemble what is seen within the attraction, but Kevin and Jody kept this production sample as a reminder of this humorous error. The sample measures 5.5" x 5.5" and 10.5" tall. It is in Very Good condition with minor surface wear. From the Personal Archives of Kevin Kidney and Jody Daily.
