Disneyland/Disneyana (20th Century)

Disneyland - Security Officer Badge, Hat Badge, and Lapel Pin (Walt Disney, c. 1957-70). This wonderful group of Disneyland security badges comes from quite early in the history of the park. The first piece is an original Security Officer badge worn by security officers in the park beginning in 1957. This design was phased out in 1970 for a new badge design. The badge features the number 230, and it measures 2.25" x 3". The second piece is a security hat badge. This piece also features the Disneyland logo and name, as well as an eagle with outstretched wings on top. There are two screws on the back of the badge where the piece was affixed to a security officer's hat. The badge is stamped on its back with L.A. Stamp and Staty Co., which likely means that this badge is from prior to 1970. The metal badge measures about 2.5" x 2.5". The last piece in this group is a great security badge lapel pin. This pin has the same design as the larger officer badge in this lot, and it measures about 0.75" x 1". It does not have a backing. All three badges are in Good to Very Good condition, with some handling and edge wear as is expected for a park-used piece. The items have some tarnishing, minor scratching, and debris.
