Disneyland – Pirates of the Caribbean WED Model Treasure Chest (Walt Disney, 1967). "Psst! Avast there! It be too late to alter course, mateys—and there be plunderin' pirates lurkin' in every cove, waitin' to board. Sit closer together, and keep your ruddy hands inboard—that be the best way to repel boarders. And mark well me words, mateys: Dead men tell no tales!" This is an exceedingly rare piece! This is a wooden miniature treasure chest used as part of the WED mock-up of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Disneyland. This chest is one of the few pieces that survived the original concept model. The chest measures 3.5" x 2.5" x 1.75". The chest is encased in a 4" x 4" x 4" clear plastic display box.
