Disneyland – "Haunted Mansion Stretching Room Portraits" SOLD-OUT Limited Edition Print Signed by Marc Davis #132/300 (Walt Disney, c. 1970s). The hilariously spooky stretching room portraits from the iconic Disneyland Haunted Mansion are featured in this lot with a long-sold-out 32" x 24" limited edition lithograph print signed by the Disney Legend Marc Davis (1913 – 2000). The Haunted Mansion was first imagined in 1951 by Disney artist Harper Goff and finished in 1969 after a 7-year construction period. It was one of the most challenging attractions ever built by Disneyland Imagineers and quickly gained popularity with the general public. When the attraction was being made, "New Orleans Square" had already run out of buildable space, challenging Imagineers to construct a special elevator to transport visitors beneath and off the actual Disneyland Park property. Upon entering, the room seemingly starts to extend as the wallpaper and wall-mounted portraits enlarge as the room lowers, revealing the fate of the portrayed characters. This stunning print showcases Marc Davis' signature and is numbered 132/300 in the bottom right corner. The condition of the print is Very Good to Fine.
