Newly edited with notes by Roger Ingpen, 1st editoin thus, London: Sir Isaac Pitman & Sons, Ltd., 1907, 2 volumes, original green cloth gilt, spines rolled - Bible (English). Brown's Self-Interpreting Family Bible, Accrington: Daniel Chadwick c.1880, folio, original gilt-embossed black morocco with brass furniture, chromolithographic frontispiece, additional title-page and numerous plates (the additional title-page heightened with gold), binding rubbed, lacking clasps, frontispiece browned and with manuscript genealogy showing through recto - Hussey (Christopher). Eton College, 'Special Etonian Edition', number 997 of 1000 copies only, London: Country Life, 1922, folio, original half morocco (wear to spine-ends), and about 40 others, mainly 19th and 20th-century literature, literary biography and natural history, including a set of Pepys's Diary (Wheatley edition, London: George Bell, 1897) (qty: approx. fifty volumes in four cartons) The lot sold as seen, not subject to return.
