Dolores Sampol (Palma, 1954 to 2020) was a Mallorca painter. Great artist, close friend of Ramon Canet who said throughout his life the great talent from which he also drank. After studying at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Sant Jordi in Barcelona between 1971 and 1975, he dedicated himself to the conservation and restoration of painting for ten years. [1] his work has been exhibited both individually and collectively in Palma, Madrid, Barcelona,Girona, Bilbao, Pamplona, Sevilla, Valencia, Camagüey (Cuba) , Washington D. C. (USA) , Berlin, Moscow and Athens. He also participated in numerous international fairs such as Art Chicago (1992 and 1998) ; ARCO, Madrid (1998, 1999 and 2002) ; Estampa, Madrid (1995, 2002 and 2003) ; Artissima, Turin (1999) ; Art Miami (2000) ; Art Karlsruhe, Germany, (2007) ; Art Beijing, Stand España, Pekín (2015) and Drawing Room, Madrid (2018) . [2] His last solo exhibition, "Agua", took place in 2017 in Inca, at the Sa Quartera cultural centre. In it, he presented a total of twenty-two seven works (some created expressly for this exhibition) with water as the central theme. [3] He died on June 28, 2020, at the age of 66.
