Domenick Capobianco (American, b. 1928), Ovoid Sculpture, clay and screws, marked by Capobianco in black marker. 9.5"H x 13.5" W x 12.25" D. Provenance: From the estate of the artist. Domenick Capobianco is a graduate of Washington University at St. Louis, a Rutgers Fellow (1979), and a Guggenheim Fellow (1984/85). He was an educator and mentor at Rutgers University. Capobianco?s work can be found in collections worldwide, including: The Academie des Beaux-Arts, Ljubjana, Slovenia, The Albertina Museum, Vienna, Austria, and The M.V. Nesterov Museum, Ufa, Russia. Alongside his artist wife Elfi Schuselka (Austrian, b. 1940) he frequently exhibited with the famed 55 Mercer Gallery in New York.
