The present sheet relates, with some variations – e.g.: the angel´s posture – to a canvas of the Liberation of Saint Peter. The painting was originally located in the Genoese church of Santo Stefano, from which was moved after the bombings of 1942-43 damaged the church, and is now held in Palazzo Reale in Genoa.
