Doris Flinn, British 1892-1977 - Bridget, 1936; plaster, 33(H) x 18(W) x 23(D) cm (ARR) Provenance: Bridget Josephine Fitzsimon, gifted by the artist and thence by descent Note: Bridget Josephine Fitzsimon was the artist's partner and subject of the work. The pair lived near Bristol where they formed part of an intellectual, Communist community of women that included the artist Doris Hatt and actor Joan Tuckett. Many of Doris Finn's works were donated to Bristol Museum.
