Double lectern - Napoleon III Style
A lovely and original lectern with two slanted tops. Lectern composed of a quadripod base with lion paw feet ending with bronze fittings. On this base is a tapered column with a garland of bronze laurels winding up to the top. The tilting shelf with ceramic top is decorated with a goddess and floral elements in Empire style. The shelf is surrounded with railing (the ceramic is broken on the right side, see photo) . The tray rises, revealing another panel for scores. The two trays come together to form a pyramid shape (small restoration) . Beneath the tray are two sliding bronze candlesticks. Tray size when flat: Height: 94. 5 cm Tray: 39 x 53 cm
