Drasche - Art Deco Nude Lady (33cm) - Porcelain

Beautiful art deco style porcelain sculpture of a sitting nude woman by Drasche Porcelain Manufactory. Very rare piece, in excellent condition (the base is scratched at the bottom) . Design: Miklós Veress about 1940. The artist's signature on the base. Marked with "D" stamp, Hand painted and the paint artist signature. Dimensions: 33,5 x 13,5 x 13 cm. Will ship safely packaged and with tracking. Drasche Porcelain factory was founded in 1838 in Hungary. Porcelain decoration manufacture has begun in 1908, under Marton Schwartz's supervision, who has left Zsolnay Porcelain Manufacture Company and has led the works and has also tried to achieve eosine glaze on the items. Numerous famous artists and sculptors have worked for the company including Gertrude Donner, Béla Markup, György Vastag and Zoltán Liszkay Kovács. The company was declared as a military factory in 1941, and has also suffered a severe bomb attack in 1944. In 1949 the factory was nationalized. The company's art deco and art noveau style figurines are the most popular among collectors.
