12 gathered together in binder. Lot consists of eight army discharges, three war department inquiries, and one record of service.

Four discharges signed by P.H. Sheridan or his brother Michael Sheridan. A typed letter signed by Nelson A. Miles reads, in part: "Headquarters of the Army Washington August 7, 1903. Daniel O. Drennan, Clerk, Army Headquarters. Sir, it gives me pleasure, on the eve of my retirement, to testify to your abilities as a clerk at Army Headquarters. Your long service in the Army, a part of which was in the Civil war, and the confidential relations held by you with Generals Sheridan, Hancock and Schofield, covering a period of thirty years, have shown the esteem in which you were held by them, and which has continued in my case..." Daniel O. Drennan's papers are held at the Library of Congress.
Condition Report: Some toning and soiling to leaves, occasional small tears or repairs.
