Year of foundation: 1962. History: It originated from the union of 16 Swedish independent shops specializing in porcelain, glass and home articles (the oldest of which had been opened in 1920 in Linköping by Hjalmar Blomkvist) . Description: The brilliantly clear hand-blown crystal glass is an elegant conical wine glass. The bowl features a tapered, elongated cone shape, supported by a stem finished with a central knot (waisted stem) and a flat circular base. The distinguishing feature is the incised and gold/bronze-decorated frieze along the upper band of the bowl, depicting garlands, stylized drapery, ribbons and laurel garlands in a strictly neoclassical style. Origin of the decoration: The design is inspired by the neoclassical friezes and motifs created by the Swedish court sculptor and artist Johan Tobias Sergel (1740–1814) , from whom the series takes its name.
