The company was founded around 1750 by Louis Duchêne (1730-1804) in Geneva as Louis Duchêne Co. From 1770 to 1790 the company signed with Duchêne & Cie. . In 1791 the company became Louis Duchêne & Fils

Fine verge clock in a golden multi-coloured case with quarter repeater on a bell.

Beautiful appearance - artfully crafted

Enamel dial with Roman numerals and external dot minute track with large Arabic 5 numbers in front. Ornate, heavily decorated original steel hands - gold-colored. Elevator damaged at number two. Very good condition except for the damage during the elevator.

Winding key and second key for setting the time on the center square of the dial.

Dial bezel with engraved snake line in green gold.

Case with engraved multi-colored serpentine line on the side.

Finely crafted back with a landscape depiction in the middle in a green and gold leaf frame. Guilloche background. In the middle there is a depiction of a park with a greyhound and a large amphora. Nice condition,

Beautiful spindle movement. Skillfully crafted. Spindle bridge in floral design. Signed Duchene a Geneve N 12205.

Bell repeater (Bellcrime) . The hours and quarter hours hit with a double whammy in the last quarter. Pedant trigger. Bright, fine sound.

As a collector's item, the running accuracy and running time have not been tested.

Produced around 1765

Watch diameter 42mm height with pedant 62mm. Weight 65. 4g

Very nice overall condition of the watch. Unrepaired damage to the elevator.
