Due Vasi, Venice (2) - Baroque - Silver-plated - First half 18th century
Beautiful pair of pendant palm (flowers) vases, carved and embossed by hand on copper. They are silver plated, plating from a later period. Venetian manufacture from the first half of the 18th century, round in shape, tapered from top to bottom with a round base attached to the handle. In the centre, nicely embossed, are six bowls tied to each other in the round. Upwards there are six decorations, always embossed, alternating with six pod decorations in the round. The upper part is embossed around its entire circumference. These items were mainly used for ecclesiastical purposes on altars to display palms during the Easter season.
