Dulieu, Jean - 1 Original preliminary drawing - Paulus de Boskabouter - Eucalypta
Beautiful drawing in Indian ink of a very expressive Eucalypta.
Jan van Oort (1921 - 2006) designed the cartoon character Paulus de Boskabouter during the Second World War, whose adventures were published in Het Vrije Volk from 1946 onwards. Van Oort called himself "Jean Dulieu" (French translation of "Jan van Oort")
Dulieu was an all-rounder, a versatile and virtuoso artist whose skill and talent kept pace with his pursuit of perfection.
