The tastemaker Deborah Vivien Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire (1920-2014), known as Debo was a great admirer and supporter of Grant. Grant's painting of the Irish Cavendish family seat Lismore Castle hung in the Duchess's bedroom at Chatsworth.
