second quarter 19th century, the paneled headboard with an outscrolled crest centered by a masque inlay, the whole with elaborate scrolling floral and foliate inlays, the lower headboard en suite, raised on block feet.

Condition Report: In good condition. Some minor shrinkage cracks to the rails from age. A few scattered dings and scuffs from use. Minor pieced-in veneer repairs. Refinished at one time with rich color and patina. A small wood block is off but present to one rail where the bolt passes through the rail. It just needs to be glued back in place. The length has been extended. Blocks of wood have been professionally added to both the headboard and footboard where the rails attach.
