Dutch School, late 18th Century- Study of a nude male figure; red chalk on paper, watermarked 'IV' (Jean Villedary of Hattem, Holland), 36 x 25.8 cm., (unframed). Note: The initials of Jean Villedary as a watermark covers a period of 150 years. It was in use from 1668-1758 in France, in the mills of Angoumois, Vraichamp, Beauvais and La Couronne. From 1758-1812, the production moved to the mills of Hattem, Gelderland, in Holland.
