Eisenhower, and was obtained from his wife, First Lady Mamie Eisenhower. This lot includes three photographs of Eisenhower wearing the tie. Prior to his Presidency, Eisenhower was a decorated war veteran, advancing to the rank of General of the Army for his service in the Pancho Villa Expedition, World War I, and World War II. Eisenhower served as President of the United States from 1953 until 1961 in a moderately conservative term notable for his expansion of Social Security and continued progress on the New Deal policies originally enacted by President Roosevelt during the Great Depression. This lot includes the original certificate of authenticity issued by Scott Velvet, president of Hollywood Rock-N Country.
