TLS as president signed â€Å“D.E.,â€Â one page, 6.75 x 8.75, White House letterhead, February 5, 1953. Letter to Ernest R. Lee, who had served as his military aide throughout World War II. In part: "Thank you very much for your nice note. I am sorry that I didn't get a chance to chat with you, at least briefly, at the Inauguration." In very good condition, with light dampstaining to the right edge, and creasing to the upper half of the letter.
