FIRST EDITION, SIGNED AND INSCRIBED BY THE GREAT TENOR: "à mes amis Otto et Lina affectueusement Enrico Caruso London 1908", on the title in blue crayon, 4to (317 x 240mm), portrait vignette to title, c.150 pages of lithographed drawings, advertisements for gramophone recordings by the singer etc, leather-backed publisher's boards with portrait-label to cover

We have not seen an inscribed copy of this first edition at auction for fifteen years. Enrico Caruso's only appearance in London during 1908 was at a Royal Gala concert at the Royal Albert Hall on 30 May, alongside Melba, Tosti and McCormack.
