EAPG c. 1898 US Glass Green Colorado Lacy Jeweled Medallion Nine Pieces consisting of One Footed Tall Compote (9 1/2"x9 1/2"x7"), One Covered Sugar Bowl (7 1/4" tall x 4 3/4" Diameter), One Covered Butter Dish (6 1/2" tall x 6 3/4" Diameter), One Footed Cheese of Petit Four Plate (7"x7"x1 1/2"), One Ruffled Bowl (8"x8"x3 1/2"), One Ruffled Bowl (5 1/2"x5 1/2"x2"), Three footed Fruit / Dessert Bowls 4 1/2"x4 1/2"x2 1/2"). Weight on all 9 pds 10 oz. The “Colorado” pattern was made by the U.S. Glass Co, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; this pattern is one of the “States Series”, circa 1897. Originally produced only in blue and called “Dewey Blue” but also appears in clear (ruby stained), green (copper wheel engraved), black and vaseline. “States” glass was made by several companies, but serious collectors count only those made by US Glass.
