EARLY 20TH C. PLAYING CARD SUIT SHOOTING GALLERY
A nice colorful set of the four playing card suit symbols, a popular theme but not commonly found, particularly in old paint. These targets have that patina and surface that they only achieve after decades of being pelted by lead bullets. Illustrated on page 76 in an undated Evans catalog as part numbers 73 (heart); 71 (spade); 74 (diamond); and 72 (club) and on page 65 in Gallery O.
Pictured on page 67 of Sellers' book (Figure 5.10).
Displayed on custom iron stands. This is the only example the Tuckers have seen or heard of in their 30 years of collecting.
Each measure 4.5 x 3 inches, excluding stand.
We happily provide seamless in-house packing and shipping services on nearly everything we sell.
