The French or Italian oil on canvas composition depicts a young beauty in elaborate gown trying on a fashionable bonnet with ostrich plumes before a French Empire mirror within an interior decorated by neo-classical frescoes. The work is signed H. Genta, dates to the very early 20th century, and is displayed in the original frame from this same period.

Canvas measures 17.25 x 9.75 with a framed 24.5 x 17 size of inches.
