EARLY BÖTTGER PORCELAIN TEA BOWL AND SAUCER WITH A ROSE RELIEF Meissen, ca. 1713-15. With rare fish mark.
Both pieces with three applied rose branches with buds and emerging blossoms. The bottom of the tea bowl is incised with a rare mark with three crossed fish.
Ø 8.3 cm, 12.4 cm.

Krieger, Aus norddeutscher Sicht: Meissen und Neues zum Böttgersteinzeug, Keramos 167/168, April 2000, Ills. 29 and 30, and the reference to the occurrence of this mark as an original Christian symbol of the Trinity and baptism, also on silver and ceramics.
