EARLY SPAN AM DAISY MAE HAT IN HBT W/ SWEATBAND

This very large brimmed HBT or herringbone Twill Daisy Mae hat is in exceptional condition. Hat is fully lined in a heavy white gauze material with a full leather sweatband, size marked 7 1/4. Has dual metal vent grommets to each side. This particular hat has a very wide brim unlike it's later counterparts. It certainly dates to WW1 if not earlier. The cap is lightly soiled but overall excellent condition.
