EARLY THUMBPRINT / ARGUS (OMN) INKWELL, colorless, two rows of thumbprints, base featuring 20 rays with a central boss, hinged silver-plate top. Together with a blown-molded amber atomizer. Two pieces total. Bakewell, Pears & Co., Pittsburgh, PA. Third quarter 19th century. Inkwell: 3" H, 3 1/4" D base. Atomizer: 4 3/4" HOA.
Undamaged except for a small flake to the edge of the collar; atomizer having wear to the metal areas.
