EDGAR BRITTON (AMER.1901-82), OIL ON CANVAS, 1932, H 36", W 26" Seated figure of a ballerina. Signed upper left. Having a label on stretcher reading "Edgar Britton 645 Michigan Ave.". Appears to have the original hand carved distressed wood frame and liner.
Condition Report: Slight ripple to canvas that could be fixed by adjusting stretcher keys. No inpaint, damage or repairs when viewed under black light. MINOR loss at sitter's right hip. Frame appears to be Spanish c. 1900-1930.
