EDISON, THOMAS A. Two Autograph Notes Signed, to unnamed recipient or Edison's wife Mina, in pencil. The first, signed twice ("E" and "OK TAE"), written vertically in the right margin of his son Charles Edison's manuscript draft of a letter to "Mr. Emory" offering a $12,000 annual salary: "Emery will find that a business paying 12000 net sure is a better thing than a gamble that may end in 6 months." The second, "TAE," written in the lower margin of a typed letter to him from Oscar Solbert sending souvenirs from a Kodacolor party: "Send to House[;] Mina, please acknowledge & thank him." Each 1 page, 4to, "From the Laboratory of Thomas A. Edison" or "Eastman Kodak Company" stationery; some chipping to lower edge of first with minor loss to text of draft, few small holes at left edge of first, received ink stamp at lower left of second, scattered pencil notes in other hands on second, folds.Np, nd; [September 1928]
