Other Notes: Vuillard, a post-impressionist painter who was part of the Nabis movement, for which he is well known, painted flowers as part of his larger interior scenes and often created small-format still lives as well. This small oil highlights Vuillard's interest in surface, pattern, and color - themes he continuously explored throughout his career.
