NOTE:
The present lot will be accompanied by a copy of a Letter of Authenticity by Dr. Thomas Folk, dated July 26, 1993. It will be included in the forthcoming Catalogue Raisonné of the Artist's work. According to Dr. Folk, the painting belongs to a small group of early oil sketches on wood panels, which are considered rare as Redfield decided to burn them at one point in his life. The present work is most likely a sketch for a larger painting.
