EGYPTIAN HARPOCRATES

Description: A solid bronze statuette of the god Harpocrates who is represented seated and naked. Most surely he was sitting on a throne fashioned from wood or bronze. He is wearing a Hemhem crown, which is a triple Atef crown , side Nemes and ureus. His left arm falls parallel to the body, while the right is bent, with the index finger held at the mouth. This is a characteristic of this god, and indicates that he is in his infancy. The legs are together and the feet rest on a small square base. | Egypt. Late Period. 664-332 B.C.

Condition: Small part of the crown missing. Fine condition. Notes: The piece includes authenticity certificate. For reasons of data protection, when the provenance of the pieces is private collections, only the initials of the particular collectors are shown, the complete information of these collections will be delivered to the buyer in the authenticity certificate. |The piece includes Spanish Export License ( Passport for European Union) - If the piece is destined outside the European Union a substitution of the export permit should be requested and an export fee must be paid ( see terms and conditions ).
