Middle Kingdom, Ca. 1939 - 1759 BC.An Ancient Egyptian cylinder seal hand-carved from glazed steatite. It depicts three cartouches of a Pharaoh, most likely the three sacred names of the king (Amenemhet III), with a large band of writing symbols in the lower part of the register. Two tubular golden cups are set on edges of the cylinder. Size: 40mm x 10mm; Weight: 5g Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014; Ex. Private collection 1970s-1990s.
