Mid-late 19th century. Eight pencils, silver and gold-filled or gold plated, with either slide or twist mechanisms, each with stone set end cap, several end caps unscrew to lead reservoir. One pencil with English hallmarks for Birmingham, ca. 1900, 'T.H.V.'. Overall condition good, some tarnishing, small dents and surface wear commensurate with age. Lengths 3" - 4".
