EIGHT SILVER-PLATED NAPKIN RINGS WITH ANIMAL FIGURES
America, late 19th century,
1. Napkin ring mounted to tails of opposing squirrel figures mounted on plaque with serpentine edges and raised on scroll feet, impressed with mark of Bridgeport Silver Plate Co. (Bridgeport, Connecticut, 1887-98), no. 211.
2. Large squirrel figure with inset glass eyes holding an open book of sheet music soldered to side of ribbed napkin ring impressed with mark of Rogers & Bro. (Waterbury, Connecticut, 1858-98), no. 285, (old break to proper right foot).
3. Squirrel eating a nut mounted beside napkin ring on square base with canted corners raised on ball feet, impressed with mark of F.B. Rogers Silver Co. (Taunton, Massachusetts, c. 1883-96), no. 256.
4-5. Two napkin rings with bird's nest mounted to top and flanked by opposing figures of foxes, all mounted to a scalloped plaque raised on ball feet, impressed with mark of Philadelphia Plate Co. (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, c. 1860-80), no. 01534, (one missing a fox).
6. One napkin ring in identical pattern to Item no. 4 with impressed mark of Wilcox Silver Plate Co. (Meriden, Connecticut, 1865-98), no. 01534.
7. Bird perched above napkin ring with barking dog or fox mounted behind on an oval base impressed with mark of Reed & Barton (Taunton, Massachusetts, est. 1824), no. 1110.
8. Oblate napkin ring mounted beside cast chick figure on a heart-shaped base with bead trim and raised on ribbed ball feet, impressed with mark of Homan Silver Plate Co. (Cincinnati, Ohio, 1847-1904), no. 139.

Largest wd. 4, dp. 2 5/8, ht. 2 3/4 in.
