THE MESSENGER

signed; also signed and dated 1967 on the backing card
pencil, mixed media and oil on canvas
76 by 51cm.; 30 by 20in.

Condition Report:
The canvas appears original. The canvas undulates very slightly in places most evident towards the upper left corner. There are a number of tiny pinholes to the canvas, visible upon close inspection, possibly in line with the Artist's intentions. There is very minor abrasion at the extreme corners. There may be one or two flattened impasto tips. There is some evidence of minor surface matter and staining and possible excess paint drips. There is possible light surface dirt and one or two minor instances of studio matter. This excepting, the work appears in excellent overall condition.

Inspection under Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.

The work is floated in a simple wooden frame.
