ELDRED WHEELER DUNLAP-STYLE TIGER MAPLE HIGHBOY, two-piece construction, upper case with detachable cornice above five graduated lip-molded drawers, the top drawer made to appear as three individual drawers, lower case having three full lip-molded drawers, the bottom appearing as three short drawers, the center having a carved fan, the whole raised on cabriole legs terminating in pad feet. In the late 18th century style of the Dunlap school, New Hampshire. Top drawer of bottom case retaining label for Eldred Wheeler, Hanson, Mass. Retains original warm surface.
