ELEGANT ROMAN GOLD NECKLACE

A lovely necklace with a chain and hook clasp. The chain is made from a thick wire loop that is folded in half then slightly pinched in the middle to create twisted and interlocking decorations. For similar see: MET Museum Accession Number: 21.88.90. This piece has undergone X-ray fluorescence analysis to confirm the metallurgical content suggesting its ancient origin and lack of modern trace elements.
