A multidisciplinary artist, Elena Aitzkoa works in sculpture, drawing, poetry and performance. Her art reveals her emotional state at any given moment, as well as the physical and sensitive elements of the environment that interfere in her creations. In the artist's own words, "My way of making sculpture is quite performative. They are like work sessions in which I connect with my experiences, my emotional state, the whole inner world that I manage (emotions, thoughts, physical sensations...). And I'm doing... it's a kind of action-reaction with sculpture". Collectively and in the field of performance, he has shown his work internationally in countries such as England, Italy, Japan, China, USA, Portugal, Norway and Sweden. His most recent solo exhibitions and projects include: Terraplén at Rosa Santos (2021), Lendia Song at Azkuna Zentroa in Bilbao (2021), the exhibition Zarza Corazón at the Museo Patio Herreriano in Valladolid (2019), the album Paraà so Terrenal (2019) and the performance cycle Headscarfs Close to the Ground part of Oslo Pilot (2016). He currently lives and works in Bilbao.
