Elfriede Miller-Hauenfels war eine österreichische Malerin und Grafikerin und die Schwester des um vier Jahre älteren Malers Erich Miller- Hauenfels. Ab 1913 folgte erhielt sie eine Ausbildung an der Kunstschule für Frauen und Mädchen bei Adalbert Franz Seligmann, Ludwig Michalek und Christian Ludwig Martin. Bereits in den 1920er Jahren bespielte sie eine Vielzahl an Ausstellungen in Wien wie uim Künstlerhaus, in der Secession oder in der Vereinigung Wiener Frauenkunst im Museum für Kunst und Industrie. 1930 entstanden die Fresken in der Pfarrkirche Itzling in Salzburg. Miller-Hauenfels erlangte vor allem als Malerin mit ihren expressiven Holzschnitten und religiösen Motiven, mit ihren Landschaften und Illustrationen große Bekanntheit.

Elfriede Miller-Hauenfels was an Austrian artist and the the younger sister of the painter Erich Miller-Hauenfels. From 1913, she was trained at the Kunstschule für Frauen und Mädchen (Art School For Women and Girls with Adalbert Franz Seligmann, Ludwig Michale, and Christian Ludwig Martin. As early as in the 1920s, she participated in a variety of exhibitions in Vienna; for example in the Künstlerhaus, in the Secession or in the Association of Viennese Art in the Museum of Art and Industry. In 1930, the frescoes were painted in the parish church Itzling in Salzburg. Miller-Hauenfels, especially as a painter, gained great prominence with her expressive woodcuts and religious motifs, landscapes and illustrations.
