ELIOT HODGKIN
1905-1987
THREE MING VASES BY LAMPLIGHT

signed and dated 24 VI 69
oil on board
41 by 25cm.; 16¼ by 10in.

Condition Report:
The board appears sound. There are frame abrasions to the extreme edges of the work, which have resulted in instances of loss to the work. There are very faint lines of craquelure to the work, only visible upon very close inspection. There is a very small scuff towards the upper left shadow of the left vase, and a couple of further scuffs to the lower edge. There are instances of surface matter and dirt to the work. This excepting, the work appears to be in overall good condition.

Inspection under Ultraviolet light reveals a thick varnish, making the painting difficult to read.

The work is presented in a wooden frame under glass.
