The paper label with the shillings informs "During the demolition in 1950 of an old cottage at Upwey (Wishing Well) a hoard of over 250 silver coins was found hidden in the chimney. The coins were wrapped in an old coat sleeve having silver buttons and were dated from Queen Elizabeth to Charles I".
