EMBROIDERED TABLE LINEN - Cotton - First half 20th century

A superb piece of artistry and so beautifully designed is this table linen. Originally it was destined to be a bedspread, but we think it is so much more opulent as a table linen and particularly for a "round table". The centre rose is 44cm in diametre and we believe that all the roses were drawn by hand. As it was a bedspread the top is straight and with a bit of "ingenuiity" it can be made round to match the other ends. There are 20 rosettes covering the edges.
