Small 4º of xlv pages. Luxury binding in red morocco, with ducal monogram on the front cover and, on the back cover, the coat of arms of the Royal House of Savoy. Spine tooled with small gilt tools.
Blind and gilt floral tools complete the covers at the edges and corners. Text block perfect and white. Stamps and labels of this holder’s Library are found in the copy.
This binding has enormous significance, since it was in 1838 that the House of Savoy was in full political and cultural expansion under the reign of Carlo Alberto, promoting Italian unification (Risorgimento).

In-4º petit de xlv pages. Reliure de luxe, en maroquin rouge, avec monogramme ducal sur le plat supérieur et, sur le plat inférieur, les armoiries de la Maison Royale de Savoie. Dos orné de petits fers dorés.
Des fers floraux à froid et à l’or complètent les plats aux bords et aux coins. Corps d’ouvrage parfait et blanc. Tampons et étiquettes de la Bibliothèque de ce titulaire se trouvent sur l’exemplaire.
Cette reliure a une énorme signification, puisque c’est en 1838 que la Maison de Savoie était en pleine expansion politique et culturelle sous le règne de Carlo Alberto, promouvant l’unification italienne (Risorgimento).
