Uniformly bound set of 6 supplementary volumes (comprising ca. 5.700 text-pages, partly printed in Paris by “L’Imprimerie de Stoupe”) of the folio-edition of the famous “Encyclopédie [..]” (Paris, 1751-1772) edited by the French authors Denis Diderot (1713-1784) & Jean Le Rond d’Alembert (1717-1783). The first work edited by the French naturalist Jean Baptiste René Robinet (1735-1820), the second work written by the Swiss minister Pierre Mouchon (1733-1797). Vol. III-IV of the first work with different title-page (“Supplément À L’Encyclopédie [..]”. Amsterdam, M.M. Rey, 1777). – The first work lacks the plate-volume, but text is complete. With defects (spines partly dam., bindings partly rubbed/ worn, chintz over covers partly worn away, vol. IV of the first work lacks letterpiece, occ. sl. marg. waterstained, occ. sl. foxed. browned), but nevertheless in an acceptable interior condition.
