ENGLISH BATTERSEA / BILSTON ENAMEL PUSH-UP CANDLESTICK, baluster form with a scalloped base and light swirling pattern to top of foot, white ground with overall scattered polychrome hand-painted floral sprig decorations, brass ribbing to edge of foot, and brass beaded to medial, underside fitted with metal push-up button mechanism, lacking bobeches. Second half 18th century. 10 5/8" H, 5 3/8" D foot.

Condition Report: Good overall condition with expected wear, scattered crazing and some losses to enamel on candle socket and lower knop.
